SLOPE ROOF SYSTEM
The Proposed system for sloped roof waterproofing shall include following materials and works to be supplied and installed by Emitek.
- Prior to the system application, minimum 50 mm thick wooden boards should be fixed on the sloped roof construction (Concrete, metal or plywood) surface vertically to support the horizontal board for fixing the roofing tiles.
- Roof slab shall be inspected by the roofing specialist from Emitek and confirm acceptance of the roof for application waterproofing system.
- Clean the cover with compressed air to make sure the substrate is free from dust and debris.
- Supply and spray apply a thickness of polyurethane foam of 30mm between the wood slat attached vertically on the whole surface of the slab, which will attach to the base structure as well as the wooden rod and will serve as a waterproofing and thermal insulator for the roof.
- Provide and apply a RBE coating or similar protective covering over the entire foam surface and allow to dry for a minimum of 24 hours.
- Check the water tightness of the roof during a period of time.
- Upon successful completion of the flood test, the prime contractor may attach the roofing tiles on top of the horizontal slat attached to the vertical slat. But should take care not to puncture the PU foam upon working over it.
- Final inspection shall be carried out and Emitek shall issue the warrantee for 10 years against leakage.
